148: What was the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
What do you think is the most important advice you could give your children so they can grow up to be the best version of themselves?
This bonus episode is a compilation of responses to that question from my first 9 guests who appeared on the Learning on Fire Podcast.
This podcast had some wonderful conversations around 10 set questions:
1. Who are you?
2. What does your life look like now and how is it different from when you were growing up?
3. What was valuable about your school experience?
4. Which teachers do you remember and why?
5. Who did you admire when you were young?
6. What was it about that person that had such an impact?
7. What was the best piece of advice you have ever been given and who gave it to you?
8. What advice would you give your younger self?
9. What does your future look like?
10. What podcast, book, video, film, song or other resource has had the biggest impact on your life and why?

147: Foundation Stage Forum with Ben Case
Today we focus on EYFS with Ben Case from the Foundation Stage Forum and Tapestry – An Online Learning Journal.
The Foundation Stage Forum is a gathering place for anyone involved in Early Years and Primary teaching and learning.
Tapestry builds a very special record of a child’s experiences, development and learning journey through their early years and primary education. Using photos, videos and diary entries, a teacher or early years practitioner, along with the child’s parents, ‘weaves’ the story of the child and how they are growing and developing.
As a Reception teacher at a school in Littlehampton, Ben was one of Tapestry’s early customers. He made good use of the helpful Product Support Team, sending them lots of emails. Eventually, he was invited to come and meet everyone at ‘Tapestry Towers’. He must have made a good impression because a few years later he found himself at his very own desk at the new Tapestry HQ. Ben now uses his experience of teaching 4 year olds to help him adjust to working in an office – he finds it comes in handy with his colleagues, as well as making him a knowledgeable Education Advisor! He also tweets (a lot!) and runs the Tapestry Support Group on Facebook.
